What should I do if I tested POSITIVE ?
You can get tested by taking a home test that you purchase at a pharmacy, or get a rapid antigen test or RT-PCR test at a hospital or clinic. You may be able to isolate yourself at home, or you may need to stay at a local quarantine center, hospitel (hotel that is used for POSITIVE patients with no or mild symptoms, with monitoring by nurses) or hospital.
If you have these severe symptoms, call for assistance
Symptoms:
- Severe gasping for breath
- Chest tightness
- Pain when breathing
- Fatigue
- Slow Response
- Unconsciousness
In the following circumstances, you're most likely will need to go to a hospital or other facility:
1. You are over 60 years old
2. You have any of the following conditions:
- Heart Disease
- Obesity
- Kidney Disease Or On Dialysis
- You Had A Stroke
- Diabetes
- Cancer
3. You have moderate symptoms:
- Fever Over 37.5c
- Tiredness When Coughing
- Dizziness
- Chest Tightness
- Diarrhea three times per day or more
- Fatigue
- Difficulty Breathing
- Pneumonia
How can I arrange home isolation?
Please register with Thai health authorities.
1.) Prepare the following documents:
- ID Or Passport
- Official Test Results
2.) Report to disease control agent via 24/7 hotlines below within 3 hours after receiving positive test result:
- National Institute for Emergency Medicine: 1669
- Department of Medical Service: 1668
- National Health Security Office: 1330
**Once registered, an officer should call you back within 48 hours and let you know if you should self-isolate or if you need to go to a hospital.**
3.) If you do not receive a call back after 48 hours, you can register on https://crmsup.nhso.go.th/ (Thai language) or add LINE @nhso to register for home isolation.
Remark: You can also contact a private hospital. They can provide a PCR test and if it is positive, advise you what to do. The doctor may admit you to the hospital or recommend home isolation.
