Dr. Donna visit to the Learning Center of the Autistic Thailand Foundation on Friday, 9 January 2026. During the visit, the center was hosting National Children’s Day activities for children and their families.
The Center’s Founder, Mr. Chusak
organized a variety of activities and educational programs for parents of children with autism. These sessions focused on providing accurate knowledge and proper approaches to caring for children with special needs, helping families better understand effective and appropriate support methods.
The Learning Center also functions as a vocational training facility, offering skills development programs across various occupations. In addition, the Art Story Center was highlighted as a dedicated space for children with special needs who demonstrate artistic talents. Selected artworks created by these children are showcased and made available for public purchase, supporting both skill development and community engagement.
Through structured training and skill-building activities, the center aims to enhance social integration and improve quality of life for individuals with autism. Mr. Chusak further noted that current data indicate an autism prevalence ratio of approximately 4:1, with three boys affected for every one girl, reflecting a significant genetic component.
This underscores the importance of greater awareness and the need to prioritize proper care, education, and support for children with special needs, enabling them to lead meaningful lives and participate more fully in society.
